PooranLaw is excited to announce the launch of our family law practice starting in January 2019. Many of the people and families we support face issues related to family law matters, including those arising upon family breakdown. In order to better serve our clients, we welcome Family Law Partner, Melanie Battaglia, to lead our Family Law Practice, offering a full range of family law services, including domestic contracts, custody/access disputes, support and property division.
Melanie brings to PooranLaw over a decade of experience in family law, including an avid interest in disability-related issues. She acts for clients on all aspects of family law issues, including custody and access, corporate law issues in family law matters relating to shareholders’ remedies, tax and complex support, equalization and business valuation issues. Melanie also represents children and youth with disabilities in family law and education law matters. Melanie currently serves as President of the Toronto Chapter of Autism Ontario and Vice-President of the Ontario Autism Coalition and is a member of the Special Education Advisory Committee.
