Sunia Hassan

Sunia Hassan is a Labour, Employment and Human Rights Associate at PooranLaw dedicated to advising and representing employers in the disability, health and social services sector.

Before joining Pooranlaw, Sunia articled at a pre-eminent full-service Toronto firm, where she worked in the areas of labour and employment, corporate and privacy law. There, Sunia managed large volumes of work with tight deadlines, and developed a strong and well-rounded understanding of how different areas of law intersect with labour and employment.

While attending law school at University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, Sunia worked as a teaching assistant for first year property law and spent a summer as a fellowship student at a community legal clinic. Prior to law school, Sunia graduated summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from McMaster University.

Outside of working, Sunia enjoys trying new recipes and hitting the slopes on her snowboard.
